Shutter count

How to check the shutter count on the Fujifilm X100F

The shutter count is the number of photos a camera has taken. It's the first thing to check before you buy a used Fujifilm X100F, and worth adding to your listing when you sell one.

How to check the shutter count on the Fujifilm X100F

  1. Take one photo with the camera (ideally in RAF format) and copy the original file to your computer or phone.
  2. Open the Reti shutter counter and add the file.
  3. You'll see the shutter count, the shutter wear rating and whether the camera has the latest firmware.

Fujifilm counts every photo, including those taken with the electronic shutter, so the number can be higher than the wear on the mechanical shutter.
