The rule: in full sun at f/16 the shutter speed is 1/film ISO. Pick the light and you get every shutter speed and aperture pair.
Metering with the phone camera beta
Works on some Android phones (Chrome) that report their camera's shutter speed and ISO. iPhones don't allow this; use sunny 16 above instead.
We meter the centre of the frame (like a wide spot meter). Aim at something mid-toned: grass, tarmac, a grey wall, not the sky or anything white.
