Classic vintage lenses
Industar-50-2 50mm f/3.5
A Soviet pancake lens (very flat), a Tessar-type design. Cheap and light, good for a walk.

What the image looks like
Slow (f/3.5), but sharp in the centre and contrasty. Even with an adapter it stays short.
Aperture on an adapter
The aperture ring is at the front of the lens and works on any plain adapter.
What to check before you buy
- Focusing: a short, tight ring; check for play.
- Scratches on the front element, which is very exposed.
- Whether it focuses to infinity on your adapter.
The earlier Industar-50 in M39 thread was made for Zenits (see the M39 Zenit note in the checker).
Which adapter?
Pick your camera in the checker: it works out the adapter thickness and framing, and suggests menu settings.
